vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research has been selected by MIC/AICTE for hosting Toycathon 2021 Grand Finale, an event conducted by Govt. of India to promote indigenous toy industry. Around 13 teams from different parts of India have confirmed their participation. Toycathon is a program that aims to inspire young people to make toys and games in India and to create innovative toys and games based on Indian civilization, history, culture, myths and ethics.
Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. In simple terms, yoga is all about making our soul happy. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions. Firmly believing in this, a series of activities were planned from 16.06.2021 to 21.06.2021 to promote the essence of yoga in life as well as to emphasize that the students must realize the importance and impact of yoga on their soul and body and to channelize their energy in the right path.

The M.Tech programme places strong emphasis on both course work and research dissertation/thesis. The thesis is compulsory for the award of an M.Tech degree. The Institution strongly believes that a credible evaluation system determines the quality of teaching learning, attendance and discipline and general behavior of the students. Led by this conviction, the evaluation procedures are laid down.
Continuous evaluation system is followed. The procedure of evaluation is made transparent to the faculty and students with the provision of recounting and revaluation.
The system is working very efficiently, and it is worth mentioning that the number of cases for revaluation is less than one percent.

NTR Memorial Library is kept open on 350 days in a year with the following timings:

Issue Timings : 8.00 AM - 6.00 PM
Holidays : 10.00 AM - 5.00 PM
Changes in Timings during the vacation period will be informed on the Library Notice Board and through circular.

While one Assistant Director looks after the Ph.D. programmes and the projects funded by the external funding agencies like DST, UGC, CSIR, AICTE, ISRO etc.

Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research has been established by the VFSTR Trust, which is supported by the Vignan Group having about 40 years of experience in education at all levels and all layers of society. It has a student base of more than 45000. It has got 7 engineering colleges, 3 pharmacy colleges and 22 schools. The group has been in service of the field of education for the last 40 years for the development of this region. It has been working with commitment for the upgradation of the quality of education in Andhra Pradesh, resulting in a large number of students attaining success in competitive examinations like Civil Services examinations and also securing admissions into higher learning institutions like IITs.

With approximately 50% of the campus area covered with lush greenery, a herbal garden with different medicinal plants, a lotus pond, a green house and hydroponics, VFSTR is the most eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing campus where environmental friendly practices are implemented to promote sustainable lifestyles.
The institution has received the "Green Institution Award" for 2018 from the State Government of AP. The institution conducts green audit of its campus regularly where a team surveys, monitors and recommends ways to maintain an eco-friendly campus.
Administrative block of area, 3257 Sq.m, houses Vice Chancellor Office, Examination Cell, Registrar Office, T&P Cell, Student Affairs office, Finance Section, IQAC Office and some classrooms and laboratories etc.
Hostel facilities with a built-up area of 35150 Sq.m. providing AC Deluxe, AC and Non AC rooms, Internet and Wi-Fi facilities which are availed by nearly 35% of total students makes the hostel facility of VFSTR almost as comfortable as home.
The institute has students enrolled from all over the country and also from other countries such as Nepal, Afghanistan, Sudan and Nigeria. In order to meet the demand, a separate international hostel facility with all amenities has been setup to make their stay comfortable.
A two-acre water harvesting facility maintain stable water index.
VFSTR implements the concept of "Waste to Wealth", a solid-waste management system on its campus. A biogas plant with an intake capacity of 1000 Kg of food waste is installed and commissioned to generate 70 Kg of LPG equivalent of Biogas per day. This gas is being used in the student's hostel for cooking purposes. The project is established at a cost of Rs.48 Lakhs. The input to the plant is food waste generated from Vignan's Hostel kitchens as raw material. The slurry generated as the by-product is useful as fertilizer/manure for the agricultural uses.
A well furnished and spacious cafeteria worth of Rs 1.5 Crore, with a 400 seating capacity is located in the heart of the campus. It provides all types of nutritious and hygienic eatables and beverages to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of the students, staff and visitors at reasonable prices.
Apart from the college canteen, there are several food kiosks providing snacks and refreshments operating in and around the academic blocks on the campus. This Canteen is open on all working days, and also during additional working hours.
VFSTR has a health centre on the campus. It caters to the primary and secondary health needs of all the students and staff, with two resident doctors and supporting paramedical staff. A comprehensive health support and insurance system is in place to take care of health needs of the student community.
The Institute has a spacious and comfortable Guest House on the campus. The Guest House includes 40 A/C executive rooms, 2 dining halls and reception hall. Furnished with A/C Suites, Television with DTH connection and WiFi connectivity, the Guest House is equipped with all the basic amenities to cater to the needs of VIP's and institute guests.
The Institute regularly organizes conferences, scientific meetings, training programmes and academic events, at such times the incumbents can avail the guest house hospitality.
The campus is supported by a branch of UCO Bank with all facilities like transfers out, withdrawals, debit use, PADs, cheques etc. UCO Bank and Punjab National Bank ATMs are available in the campus. Punjab National Bank and SBI welcome students of the institution to offer Educational loans. Staff can also avail housing loans, personal loans etc from these banks

The welfare of students and staff is top priority at VFSTR. All buildings are designed to withstand cyclonic wind loads up to wind speeds of 250 Km/Hr, the institution being located in coastal area.
Adequate safety measures are in place for the entire academic area, in every block of the campus in the best possible manner. Sophisticated fire alarm systems, fire fighting water systems with standard hoses, foam type fire extinguishers are strategically positioned throughout the campus.
Security guards are specially trained to manage any safety related contingency. Training on safety and first aid is conducted periodically for the
students and staff.
CCTV cameras as mandated by UGC and AICTE , are installed all over the campus to make the campus ragging free, secure and safe, especially for girl students. It also aids in maintaining a general discipline on the campus. Semester-end and external examinations are conducted under the supervision of invigilators and CCTV surveillance
A parking service area of 40,000 Sq.m. is earmarked for students, faculty, staff, and visitors with secure parking facilities. Parking regulations are in place help to ensure that there is an orderly system in place for all who use vehicles when coming to campus. The regulations also ensure that emergency vehicles and equipment have immediate access to all campus locations.
The Campus located in a rural area, has a fleet of 60 buses for conveying staff and students to the campus. There is a safe and secure transport option for all students and faculty with good connectivity to surrounding towns and villages lying within a radius of 45 - 50 Kms of the campus. The buses are driven by responsible personnel.
