Office of Industry Relations, in association with the Department of Advanced Computer Science and Engineering (ACSE) organized a One-Day Hands-on Workshop on Cybersecurity Tools on 11th April 2026 at VFSTR – Hyderabad Off-Campus for students from the 1st and 2nd year B. Tech Cyber Security program.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Chaitanya Emany, Information Protection Manager at Evernorth Health Services (Cigna), Hyderabad. The session covered cybersecurity fundamentals, ethical hacking, system vulnerabilities, threat detection, and practical demonstrations of cybersecurity tools. Students actively participated in hands-on exercises and case-based discussions.

The workshop provided valuable practical exposure to cybersecurity concepts and tools, helping students develop skills in identifying vulnerabilities and understanding threat mitigation strategies. The interactive sessions enhanced students’ confidence and preparedness for careers in cybersecurity.

At the end of the first day, the participants:

• Gained a strong conceptual understanding of EV powertrain systems.
• Learned about various EV architectures and motor technologies.
• Received practical exposure to EV motors, controllers, and power electronics components.

By the end of the second day, the participants:

• Gained practical knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery pack manufacturing.
• Understood the role of Battery Management Systems (BMS) in EV safety and performance.
• Learned about industry safety standards and testing procedures used in EV battery production.

• The two-day workshop on Electric Vehicle Powertrain & Lithium-Ion Battery Pack Manufacturing was highly informative and beneficial for the participating students.
• The workshop successfully provided a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical exposure, enabling students to understand the fundamental concepts and real-world applications of EV technology.

Department of Chemical Engineering, in association with the Office of Industry Relations and Outreach, organized an insightful Industrial Visit to The Coca-Cola Company facility at Atmakuru, Andhra Pradesh, for our 2nd and 3rd year Chemical Engineering students.

The visit provided students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the complete beverage manufacturing process. Students observed the end-to-end production cycle, including raw material processing, beverage formulation, bottling, labeling, and packaging of finished products. This immersive experience enabled them to connect fundamental chemical engineering principles with real-world industrial applications and understand modern manufacturing practices.

The Department of Chemical Engineering, VFSTR (Deemed to be University), organized an industrial visit to **Sangam Dairy Milk Processing Plant** on **13th October 2025** to provide students with practical exposure to modern dairy processing operations and their underlying chemical engineering principles.

During the visit, students gained first-hand experience of the complete milk processing chain, including collection, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, quality assurance, and waste management practices. They observed the application of heat transfer, thermodynamics, process instrumentation, automation through PLC systems, and Clean-in-Place (CIP) technologies, gaining valuable insights into industrial operations and quality control measures.

The visit also highlighted sustainable practices adopted by the industry, particularly in effluent treatment and environmental management, emphasizing the importance of responsible and efficient manufacturing processes.

Overall, the industrial visit proved to be an enriching learning experience, enabling students to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. Such initiatives strengthen industry-academia interaction and equip future chemical engineers with practical knowledge, technical competence, and an understanding of contemporary industrial practices.

- Casting Section: Observed molten cast iron at 1400°C, the moulding process, and quality control.
- Assembly Line: Witnessed robot-assisted finishing operations (grinding, smoothening, boring) and the assembly of hand pumps, piston pumps, centrifugal pumps, and submersible pumps.
- CNC Operations: Experienced vertical and horizontal CNC machines in action, linking classroom learning to real-world applications.
- Motor Winding & Plastic Recycling: Understood motor wiring, plastic component manufacturing, and recycling processes.

AIMSCS carries forward the legacy of Prof. C.R. Rao, whose contributions include the Cramer-Rao inequality and Rao-Blackwell theorem, which have significantly influenced modern statistics. Agricultural Engineering had the opportunity to visit Sri Sai Lakshmi Padmavathi Dal Mill near Tenali as part of an industrial exposure program
During the visit, students closely observed the entire dal milling process, starting from raw dal collection to the final product stage. They gained hands-on exposure to various unit operations and industrial equipment, including separators, sifters, scratching rolls, grinding rolls, pre-treatment oil mixing units, and the advanced Sortex unit.
Such industrial visits play a crucial role in enhancing practical learning, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world processing techniques. This experience has undoubtedly broadened their understanding of dal processing technology and its industrial applications.

The "Hack The Future 2026" hackathon was successfully conducted on 23 May 2026 at VFSTR Hyderabad Campus by the Office of Industry Relations in association with the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities. The one-day event engaged 184 first-year B.Tech students (46 teams) in a six-hour innovation challenge focused on leveraging Google NotebookLM and Artificial Intelligence to develop practical, scalable solutions for real-world problems affecting various sectors of the Telangana Government.

The competition was conducted in four progressive rounds, including problem identification, statistical analysis, video presentation, infographic-based solution design, and final presentations before an expert judging panel. Participants demonstrated strong creativity, teamwork, analytical thinking, communication skills, and effective application of AI tools while addressing challenges in agriculture, water sustainability, public services, and other societal domains.

The event concluded with the recognition of outstanding teams through cash prizes and certificates for all participants. Overall, Hack The Future 2026 successfully promoted innovation, experiential learning, industry-oriented problem solving, and AI-driven thinking, inspiring students to develop impactful technological solutions for the benefit of society.

Andhra Pradesh SpaceTech Summit 2026 organized at Vignan’s University Campus from January 22–24, 2026. The flagship event brought together space scientists, industry leaders, startups, academia, policymakers, and young innovators to promote collaboration, innovation, and capacity building in the SpaceTech ecosystem.

The summit focused on emerging areas including space manufacturing, satellite technologies, launch systems, private space participation, student innovation, and academia–industry collaboration. Also supported the Press Meet and media engagement activities to create awareness and enhance outreach of the summit.
