Student Secures Internship at Lam Research
The Robotics and Automation is proud to announce that Mr. Bhargav Ravinutala, IV year student has secured an internship in the Hardware Division at Lam Research (India) Private Limited). The internship, running from February 17, 2025, to July 31, 2025, offers a monthly stipend of Rs.47,667/-. This opportunity allows him to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge hardware technologies, work on industry-relevant projects and develop skills aligned with professional and ethical standards. Vignan – SHAR group director guest lecture
P. Gopikrishna, Director, Management Systems Group, SHAR (Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota) said that there will be a bright future for the students of mechanical and civil engineering fields in the field of automation. P. Gopikrishna, Group Director of SHAR Management Systems, who was the chief guest at Vadlamudi Science University, Chebrolu Mandal, gave a special guest lecture program to the faculty and students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Speaking on this occasion, he imparted awareness on high technical skills in mechatronics, robotics and space craft design.
Job opportunities in the fields of core engineering and space technology were shared with the students. He said that the rest of the world is currently lagging behind in the manufacturing sector and this is the right time for our country to be the leader in the manufacturing sector. He said that robotics, product design and development and medical instrumentation will become important in the coming days. He said that in the future, robots will be used in all fields of automobiles, agriculture, hospitals, software and hardware. Vehicles will also be driven by robots. He called upon the students to undertake research to meet the needs of the world.
He said that the students should form groups of four and beyond and undertake new innovations. Vignan’s University Vice Chancellor Professor P. Nagabhushan, deans, heads, staff and students of the respective departments participated in the program.

Vignan inaugurates Robot Lab
Praveen Malla, CEO of Robocoupler Private Limited said that there will be revolutionary changes in the field of robotics in the future. The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation) of the School of Core Engineering, Vadlamudi Science University, Chebrolu Mandal inaugurated the "Robocoupler's Semi-Humanoid Robot Manufacturing Hub" on Thursday. Praveen Malla, CEO, Robocoupler Private Limited, who was the chief guest of the event, spoke that it is commendable that Vigyans University has come forward to set up a manufacturing hub with Advanced Robotics Laboratory. He said that this robot manufacturing hub will provide an excellent opportunity for students as well as research faculty to not only design and develop robots but also take them to market for commercialization.
Keeping in mind the needs of the industry, innovation will be encouraged and the students will get practical multidisciplinary knowledge experience. Vice Chancellor Prof. P. Nagabhushan, Registrar Dr. MS Raghunathan, Deans, heads, staff and students of the respective departments of the university participated in the program.

Vignan made a MoU with Robocoupler
University Vice Chancellor Professor P. Nagabhushan said on Wednesday that Robocoupler Private Limited of Vizag has entered into an MoU with Vadlamudi Science University of Chebrolu Mandal. In a program organized on this occasion, University Vice Chancellor Professor P. Nagabhushan exchanged documents related to the MoU with Robocoupler Private Limited CEO Praveen Malla. In the program organized on this occasion, the varsity vice chancellor said that they have signed a sensational MoU with India's premier andro-humanoid robotic company, Robocoupler, to set up a manufacturing hub with an advanced robotics laboratory in the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering department of their university. He said that the university is ready to bring revolutionary changes in the field of robotics due to this MoU. He said there will be an excellent opportunity for students as well as research faculty to not only design and develop robots but also take them to market for commercialization. Keeping in mind the needs of the industry, we will encourage innovation and provide practical experiences for the future of our students. Vice Chancellor Prof. P. Vignan Student acheived Ph.D degree
Vignan's University, Chebrolu Mandal Vadlamudi Vignan's University – Vice Chancellor Professor P. Nagabhushan said that Garigipati Prithvi Raju, a student from the Department of Mechanical Department of Core Engineering, was awarded the PhD degree by Vignan's University on Friday. In the program organized on this occasion, he informed that he has done research on "Preparation, Characterization and Computational Machining Studies on Aluminum Silicon 7-Silicon Carbide Composite". It is stated that former professor K. Balamurugan of the Mechanical Department of Vignan's University acted as his guide. The deans, heads and teachers of the respective departments felicitated Garigipati Prithvi Raju who received the PhD degree.

Dr. MD. Faiyaz Ahmed Receives Indian Utility Patent for UAV Innovation
VFSTR proudly congratulates Dr. MD. Faiyaz Ahmed on receiving an Indian Utility Patent ("A SITE INSPECTION AUTONOMOUS UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE SYSTEM") for his groundbreaking work on the development of an indigenous UAV specifically designed for power line inspection in India. This patent, granted for a period of 20 years, reflects Dr. Ahmed’s significant contribution to UAV technology and power line maintenance.
This achievement is a notable part of Dr. Ahmed's Ph.D research conducted at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (MNNITA). Professors from MNNITA extended their appreciation and recognition for Dr. Ahmed’s dedication to the field and the practical impact of his work on power line inspection in challenging terrains. VFSTR’s Vice-Chancellor Col. Prof. P. Nagabhushan garu also lauded Dr. Ahmed, highlighting this patent as a commitment to his innovation and excellence in research.
